The speech-language pathologist guides you every step of the way, helping you learn specific, research-based interaction strategies that you can use in your daily interactions with your child. All these strategies are drawn from research and have been shown to improve the social communication skills of children on the autism spectrum.
About the Program
More Than Words is a program designed to address the core difficulties your child has in communicating with others. By learning in a small group with other parents, you get support & input from people who understand.
Program Components
The program includes: A pre-program consultation, which includes an assessment of your child.7 two and a half hour sessions for a small group of parents, 3 individual video feedback sessions.
You will learn:
- how your child communicates right now & the next steps
- how to engage your child in enjoyable interactions during everyday activities
- how to talk so that your child understands you
From Your Own Home
The entire program is offered online. This allows you to attend the program from the comfort of your own home and interact with your child in an environment familiar to him.
